KALINKA DANCE ENSEMBLE

Kalinka Dance Ensemble of Baltimore is a performer of Traditional Russian Dance in the Baltimore/Washington DC area. We offer Russian Dance Lessons for children and adults; participate in Russian and other Ethnic Festivals, and provide Russian Entertainment at weddings, corporate parties, and community celebrations.

We strive to serve the Russian Community of Baltimore/Washington DC area, as well as provide education about Russian Folk Culture, Russian  Folk Music, and Russian Dance.

Kalinka Jr (children’s group ages 4-13) started practicing in 2009 at the East-West Cultural Central in Pikesville, MD and now regularly joins Kalinka dancers on professional stages. Children practice several times a week and work on mastering the basics of  Russian character dance. Auditions are held in August and January of each year. Since 2015 the group has been participating in National Dance Competitions on an annual basis.
