For more details about each week’s theme
1st Session (June 17 – 21) The World of Amazing Animals
Children will learn that the blue whale is the largest mammal on Earth, where kangaroos live, why armadillos are called that, why the camel is called the “ship of the desert”, what elephants need such big ears for, and much more interesting information. We will make appliqués, draw in different styles, listen to fairy tales, and play games.
This Buzzing World! 2nd Session (June 24 – 28)
Hey, do you hear that? It’s buzzing! Let’s go see what it is. We’ll venture into the amazing world of insects. We’ll learn the story of one very small and very hungry caterpillar, and then we’ll tell that story using a shadow puppet theater. We’ll talk about the hard-working bees and ants, the dangerous scorpions and spiders, and the beautiful butterflies and beetles.
The World of Fantastic Creatures 3rd Session (July 8 – July 12)
Fairy tale dragons come in different varieties – with one head, like the Chinese dragon, or with three heads, like the famous character from Russian folk tales, Zmey Gorynych. There are dragons with wings and without, on two legs or four. But did you know that dragons actually exist in nature? We’ll listen to and watch interesting stories, tales and legends about dragons and other fantastic creatures. We’ll also create them using paper and other materials, drawing, sculpting and making appliqués.
Art Week “The Colorful World” 4th Session (July 15- July 19)
A day of sky blue, a day of orange sun, a day of plum-colored clouds and a rainbow rain! We live in a colorful world. Colors make it bright, vivid and light. What will we do during Art Week? Of course, draw – with different materials and in different styles, make mosaics, collages and appliqués. But also, during this week, we will dance hip-hop. At the end of the week, all the works will be presented at an exhibition.
In the Ocean Depths 5th Session (July 22 – July 26)
Oh, this is an absolutely amazing opportunity to travel to the underwater world! Children will learn about sea creatures and learn about the wonders that occur at the bottom of the sea and ocean. We will create our own underwater world with paper, paints, clay, threads and imagination!\
Let’s Dream, Let’s Fly...6th Session (July 29 – August 2)
Since ancient times, people have dreamed of learning to fly like birds. From the hero of the ancient Greek legend Icarus to modern space rockets: air balloons, hang gliders, airships, airplanes, spaceships. Let’s dream, let’s fly…
